The Opportunity

The Department of Electrical Engineering seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach EE 327 - Electrical Engineering Fundamentals at the Daytona Beach, Florida campus. This course introduces students to the foundational principles of electrical engineering. Topics include circuit theory and variables, Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws, nodal and mesh analysis, superposition, source transformation, Thevenin and Norton equivalents, Wheatstone bridge, voltage-current relationships for passive elements, first-order transient analysis, phasors, steady-state AC analysis, and basic filter concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in EE 327 in accordance with the course syllabus.
  • Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Hold regular office hours to support student learning.
  • Collaborate with department faculty and staff to ensure course quality and consistency.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Qualifications:

    • Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
    • Demonstrated expertise in circuit analysis and electrical engineering fundamentals
    • Prior teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
