Shipping and Packaging Associate

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Packaging Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate packaging and timely shipping of finished goods, while processing all necessary paperwork. You will work under the direction of the Logistics Coordinator and support various departments as needed to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

  Prepare finished cable for shipment: arrange, package, weigh, and label products accurately and on schedule.

  Verify accuracy of all finished products, documentation, and weights prior to shipping.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain and update the magnet board to track workflow and inventory status.

  
  
• 
  

  Support and maintain "5S" workplace organization standards.

  
  
• 
  

  Manage and track Short Length Inventory (WFA - Waiting for Approval).

  
  
• 
  

  Monitor stock levels of raw materials used in shipping and notify the Logistics Coordinator when supplies are low.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform light maintenance tasks and daily forklift safety checks.

  
  
• 
  

  Assist the Respool Department with label creation, reel preparation, and moving work-in-progress (WIP) materials.

  
  
• 
  

  Serve as backup for Logistics and Receiving Coordinators and support the Respool Department as needed.

  
  
• 
  

  Promote and enforce safety procedures and best practices across shipping and respool operations.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned.

  
  

Education:

• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  
  

Skills:

• 
  

  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  
  
• 
  

  Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to analyze and process shipping data.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.

  
  
• 
  

  Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

  
  
• 
  

  Capable of operating machinery in accordance with safety standards.

  
  

Experience:

• 
  

  2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced shipping or warehouse environment.
