Nurse Practitioner Outpatient Hepatology Full Time 85685BR Job Summary UCSF Liver Disease and Liver Transplant specializes in diagnosing and treating liver diseases as well as treating patients before and after liver transplant. We provide a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with various needs. Our Tumor Clinic specializes in caring for patients with early- and intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common type of liver cancer, as well as other benign and cancerous liver tumors. Our world-renowned team consists of hepatologists, as well as surgeons and interventional radiologists, who use medical imaging techniques to perform minimally invasive procedures. All team members have expertise in treating liver cancer. Viral Hepatitis Center offers comprehensive treatment options for Hepatitis C. The Nurse Practitioner will have the responsibility for the care of patients in the Hepatology/ Liver transplant department including Liver Tumors and Hepatitis C patients. The incumbent will provide follow-up care as well as assessment of new patients with liver disease. This includes ongoing clinical assessment, ordering and follow up of all testing, modification of treatment regimens and overall care of the patient in the clinic, by phone and via APeX follow up as well as participation in Tumor Board. NP serves as a resource for all clinical staff and initiates and participates in patient and staff education. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate). Five (5) years of NP experience in outpatient adult hepatology/liver transplant setting managing patients with Hepatitis C and Liver Cancer Preferred Qualifications N/A License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for Adult Outpatient position: Adult Outpatient Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California. Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. Current AHA BLS. State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
