Accounting Supervisor Part-Time Central Accounting Office of Comptroller Hourly Pay Rate $31.69 - $47.53 Closing Date: August 12, 2025, or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received Job Summary: The part-time Accounting Supervisor position in the Milwaukee County Comptroller's Office oversees financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance with GASB/GAAP. The major objective of the role is to ensure accurate and timely preparation of annual financial statements and reports and maintain internal controls. This job exists to support the County's fiscal integrity and transparency in managing public funds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Abilities: Team player with the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with both co-workers and external contacts. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must stay up to date with changes in GAAP, GASB, and FASB. Frequent contact with employees, across other departments and external entities to gather factual information of a confidential manner, answer queries or ask for assistance. The ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, routine reports, and correspondence. Speak effectively before both internal and external groups. Read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to use MS Office products with a high emphasis on excel functions, pivot tables and tables.
