Position Summary |
Compliance Specialist to assist in
SON Clinical Compliance Office.
Provides Clinical Support Assistance (95%) by:
- Assists with monitoring student compliance requirements (General and Site-Specific) by reviewing completed compliance documents to ensure Contractual and SON policy requirements are timely met. This also requires providing oversight of the electronic compliance vendor to ensure the vendor is receiving, interpreting and entering all student sensitive and personal health information timely and accurately.
- Assists with tracking special agency requirements; communicates with agencies as needed to present required information, clarify requirements, advocate for students, etc. This includes EPIC coordination for all sites using the EMR system.
- Generates reports from internal databases and vendor databases in order to submit required documentation to clinical agencies as stipulated by contract. Assists with maintaining databases of each required compliance element as well as the archival of historical records, etc.
- Generates accurate and timely reports from internal databases and vendor databases as needed by the Director of Clinical Support in order to monitor all students' compliance requirements are met and are producible for audits and accreditation reports.
- Assists with maintaining currency of compliance documents in database within established timeframes to ensure all updates are in place for upcoming semester.
- Prepares and distributes reminder memos on as-needed basis.
- Participates in on-site student sessions re: compliance program as needed.
- Timely notify Director, Clinical Support Division, of students whose General and/or Site-Specific compliance accounts are non-compliant.
- Monitor student compliance email account. Communicate with students (via email and phone) to aid with compliance requirements
- Become familiar with and maintain the most current knowledge of Campus Health Services (CHS), NC Dept. of Public Health and CDC Immunization requirements.
- Assists with developing training documents in support of student education re: compliance program and agency specific requirement tips.
- Assists with clinical exposure tracking by generating targeted clinical placement reports as needed to assist with identifying students who are assigned to a clinical site where a potential exposure has occurred. Provide report to Director, Clinical Support Division, for follow up with the Office of Student Affairs.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
