Description Responsibilities: Assist teachers in the preparation of teaching materials. Assist with literacy development and other classroom activities in multiple grade levels. Work with individual students in need of extra support, as directed by the classroom teacher(s) Provide supervision, as assigned to promote an optimal school environment for students. Assists in the implementation of the daily program, including small and large group experiences, in collaboration with Lipscomb Academy Lower School Faculty and Staff. Assist with the arrival and dismissal process as directed. Assist with administration with tasks as assigned. Substitutes for teachers as needed. Qualifications: A love for young children, experience working with young children, and a college degree. The lower school is searching for a Teaching Assistant with a collaborative spirit and strong communication and interpersonal skills. A strong knowledge base of childhood development and the academic abilities of young learners is essential for this position.
