Job Title: Director of Development - College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Department: University Advancement College/Division: General University Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: Mercer University is searching for a Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to independently coordinate fundraising and alumni/friends events and activities in an effort to foster a continuing relationship between the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences/University and its alumni and friends. The primary responsibilities of the job are to encourage alumni to give back to the College/University through their time, service and monetary gifts. Specifically, this position is responsible for insuring the School's annual fund goal is met each fiscal year, the School's campaign goals are met and the School's major alumni events are planned and orchestrated successfully. Further, this position is responsible for facilitating communication between the alumni/friends and the College and between the College and the University. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and two years of experience working with people in direct sales experience, business development experience and activities where relationship building is essential or other "related" business experiences are required. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
