Join our team at Great Lakes Management as our Property Management Intern! The Corporate Property Management Intern will support the property management team at the corporate level by assisting with various projects that enhance operational consistency, financial performance, and resident experience. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the inner workings of residential property management and offers valuable learning opportunities in budgeting, software systems, and operational strategy. This is a temporary position.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with standardizing processes and procedures across the residential portfolio to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Support data collection and analysis related to budgeting; help gather and organize financials needed for property budgets.
  • Assist with entering budget data and tailoring property management software to meet specific budgetary needs.
  • Participate in internal meetings, leadership strategy sessions, and site visits to gain insights into day-to-day and strategic operations.
  • Support the implementation of new documents and updates within the software platform used by site teams.
  • Conduct market comps and research to support pricing strategies and positioning for properties.
  • Contribute to the creation and revision of new resident handbooks to ensure alignment with current policies and resident expectations.\

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Compassionate, patient, and enjoys working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision (must be highly motivated and self-directed)
  • Ability to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English

Environment:

Works indoors in a climate-controlled environment majority of the time.

Working Hours:

Temporary - Full-time, 40 hours per week.
