Description
Mazak Corporation is looking for a Laser Calibration Technician to join the National Service Team. The associate will install and repair machines and accessories at customer sites. Provide technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories. Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but not limited to the following: * Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. * Perform Laser Calibration on Mazak machines by using Laser Interferometers * Perform Ballbar calibration on Mazak machine * Understand ISO9000 requirements for Machine accuracy requirements * Perform mechanical/electrical adjustments to the machine to bring into specification * Complete reports in D365 documenting, hours, installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed. * Discuss status of assignment, diagnosis, parts required with customer on every visit. * Communicate daily with Team Leader or designate on status of assignment and estimated completion timing. * Maintain a professional approach in both appearance and customer and peer interaction * 75% Travel is required, some assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay. Education/Certification: * High school diploma. * 2-year technical training or associate degree in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly Skills: * Good interpersonal and oral and written communications skills * Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude. * Read/understand engineering drawings. * Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks. * Capability to learn quickly and independently. * Ability to problem solve & research technical manuals and websites. * Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
