Overview
The Government Services Regional Sales Manager is responsible for surpassing the company's revenue and market share goals within their assigned territory. Success in this role will be driven by the strategic leadership, development, and coaching of Account Managers (AMs) and Clinical Support Audiologists (CSAs). The manager will make efforts to identify and secure new business opportunities while strengthening and maintaining long-term customer relationships to ensure sustained growth and retention.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Director, Government Services, to execute the regional sales strategy effectively. This includes optimizing territory management through strategic planning and segmentation to drive targeted growth and achieve business objectives.
- Review and analyze data to understand the state of the business to achieve or exceed sales performance objectives for the region including revenue, units, visits, and market share.
- Build and deliver quarterly business reviews, highlighting the status of the business and areas of focus and opportunities.
- Drive the sales performance of a regional team, including Account Managers and Clinical Support Audiologists, by ensuring daily activities are executed effectively to achieve revenue goals and maximize market growth.
- Lead all aspects of people management, including recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, retention, performance evaluations, and professional development, in collaboration with the Sales Director.
- Uphold and ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Exemplify Demant's values by fostering a culture of internal collaboration and external competitiveness.
- Travel extensively to participate in quarterly co-travel opportunities to maintain strong sales relationships with customers in the region as well as support in-field coaching; typically 80% travel is required.
- Partner with the Sales Director to develop and deliver channel specific training and collateral.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, including but not limited to, feedback and coaching communication, CRM updating, forecasting and expense approvals, etc.
- Contribute to planning and execution of national seminars and regional customer events to support sales. This includes podium presentations and workshop sessions to promote relationship building and skill development.
- May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.
Qualifications
- A degree in Audiology is required.
- Sales Experience: A minimum of 5+ years in sales within the medical device or hearing healthcare industry, with a proven track record of top-tier performance, consistently exceeding revenue and market share growth targets.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of management experience or successful completion of an approved leadership development program.
- Sales Excellence Expertise: Proficiency in sales excellence practices, including productivity reporting and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com tools.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $89,600 to $128,000 per year; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
