The Employee Health Services (EHS) Assistant provides clerical support to the EHS team, including support of day-to-day operations, OSHA mandated programs, special projects, and committees chaired by EHS. This position is the first point of contact for customers and is responsible for creating a positive first impression of the services provided in EHS.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years secretarial/clerical experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products with the ability to serve as a resource person
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment (fax machine, copy machine, printers)
  • Proficiency with keyboarding
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in conflict resolution
  • Possess initiative and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize multiple projects and work requests to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in business or administrative/secretarial field
  • 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Working knowledge of Visio and Sharepoint
