Job Summary:

Provide direct financial and analytical support to the Site Leader and management team and support corporate finance with analysis and closing requirements In this role, the person will work as a business partner with the Site Lead in order to help drive productivity and operational performance to improve profitability and cash flow.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish, maintain, analyze and report on Operational financials and metrics of the site.

  • Provide financial guidance and reporting of the site.

  • Manage close process and prepare and approve entries of employees.

  • Provide financial and strategic guidance to operations leadership to support internal and external customers.

  • Analyze and report on cost elements and make suggestions to manage costs. (Make/Buy, etc.)

  • Be an active, engaged business partner with site leadership team.

  • Establish processes to gather and monitor critical financial and manufacturing information necessary for the Site Leader to make informed decisions

  • Develop, and oversee the monthly forecasts for the site manufacturing departments

  • Management of site forecasting process

  • Coordinate with the Site Cost accountant and corporate cost team the development, and oversight of the site standard costs including the establishment and accuracy of standard cost system for the site.

  • Develop and manage the annual budget process for the site.

  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis of potential business transactions related to manufacturing expenditures.

  • Purchasing related (site level):

    • Perform D&B and financial analysis on potential new suppliers Review/Approve expense and capital requisitions

    • Act as liaison between suppliers, purchasing and accounts payable to resolve issues.

    • Assist with quotes and perform "full cost of ownership" (landed cost) analysis where requested.

    • Assist with terms and discounting negotiations if needed.

  • Be a key contributor in the developing, monitoring and maintenance of financial control procedures within Operations at the site.

  • Be a business partner with Corporate Finance as well as Corporate Governance and operations. Engage proactively.

  • Share best practices with other ZOLL factories.

  • Travel to and partner with other manufacturing leaders in ZOLL to help drive all ZOLL (i.e., One ZOLL) operating performance.

  • Cash Flow analysis on capital expenditures

  • Inventory metrics and reporting (site level):

    • Inventory levels

    • Material variance analysis (PPV)

    • Excess and obsolete process management

    • Reserve analysis and preparation

    • Used equipment status, levels and reserve

  • Provide monthly, quarterly, annual comparative financial reports for site including:

    • Expense actuals to budget and prior year

    • Material costs by product

    • Labor costs and efficiency (absorption analysis)

    • Overhead costs and trends

    • Other Costs of Goods Sold analysis and forecasting

  • Provide ROI analysis and recommendations for large capital investments.

  • Special projects as requested.

Skills:

  • Strong Communication skills.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Oracle Experience desired

  • Must be a self-starter with a strong pro-active work ethics

  • Sarbanes Oxley 404 experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in (or with a concentration in) Finance or Accounting

  • 5 years minimum of progressive financial analysis, reporting, and business support experience within a manufacturing environment.
