Sorenson Communications, LLC. offers Video Relay Service (VRS), which gives Deaf, who use American Sign Language (ASL), and hearing people the option to communicate in their preferred language - either ASL or spoken English or Spanish. Sorenson also provides onsite and remote interpreting services between English and various other world languages.

CaptionCall, LLC. offers Internet protocol captioned telephone service (IP CTS) using advanced technology and a captioning agent to quickly provide written captions of what callers say on a large, easy-to-read screen.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Benefits Specialist II to support the administration of our employee benefits programs. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including processing life events, maintaining records, and paying benefits-related bills. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance on benefits offerings, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage. Additionally, you will coordinate with third-party providers, assist with enrollment meetings, and help employees complete necessary forms. Your work will contribute to ensuring a smooth and positive benefits experience for all team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the benefits function.
  • Administers one or more organizational benefits programs.
  • Assists employees in understanding the organizations benefits offerings and acts as a liaison between the organization and third-party benefits providers.
  • Conducts orientation or enrollment meetings, advises on eligibility, costs, and coverage, and provides information for use in memos, presentations, or other benefits communications.
  • Provides guidance during enrollment processes.
  • Maintains records related to benefits plan participation or contributions.
  • Maintains records related to plan participation, enrollment, or status changes.
  • Assists employees in completing enrollment or change forms.
  • Answers basic questions about offerings, eligibility, or coverage.
  • Transfers employee premium payments to benefits providers.



Travel Requirements

Travel Requirements: Less than 25%

Education

Preferred 4-Year / Bachelors Degree

Experience

2 years of experience in benefit related field

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills and a strong desire to serve others.
  • Must maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times and in all situations.
  • Knowledge of ASL preferred.
  • ACA reporting experience preferred.
