Summary of Job Duties:The Director of Institutional Research works under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor for Student Services and provides strategic direction to UACCM research, reporting, and data quality efforts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Serves as the UACCM Project One Reporting Lead for the conversion to Workday Student; provides cross-functional data quality support to other Project One Leads.

Develops and maintains dashboards that will assist the Executive Council in policy and decision-making pertaining to students, faculty, and staff.

Advises and informs key administrators on all matters related to institutional data, including productivity funding.

Coordinates the reporting efforts of the college, including required Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE) and IPEDS reporting.

Recommends ways to improve /upgrade data information.

Monitors the flow of institutional data to internal offices and external agencies.

Resolves problems related to data and uses internal checks and controls to ensure that reported data is accurate.

Maintains records for internal and external reports, surveys, questionnaires, and inquiries for data.

Conducts annual performance reviews for department staff in a timely manner.

Keeps the Vice Chancellor for Student Services informed of issues and operational needs related to the Office of Institutional Research.

Makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Student Services for changes in the operations of the Office of Institutional Research.

Actively serves and participates on campus committees, as assigned.

Maintains current knowledge and best practices in the field of institutional research, reporting and data by attending local, state, regional, or national conferences and meetings.

Practices fiscal responsibility by recommending annual budget needs and ensuring that department funds are spent to align with the goals of the institution.

Works cooperatively with the Information and Communications Accessibility Committee to ensure that department content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of users.

Effectively handles sensitive issues and maintains confidentiality.

Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, research, business administration, education, or a related field

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, research, business administration, education, or a related field

  • 3 years of higher education experience in research, reporting, and/or data analytics

Salary Information:

$55,000 - $62,500; commensurate with education and experience in the desired area
