Markon is seeking a Graphic Designer to support our NRO client in Chantilly, VA.

The ideal Graphic Designer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:

Design and develop user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for web and mobile applications.

• Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and other design elements to support various projects.

• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with project requirements and user needs.

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and functionality.

• Ensure designs are consistent with branding guidelines and industry best practices.

• Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and graphic design.

• Provide feedback and guidance to other team members on design-related matters.

• Maintain and update design documentation, including style guides and design specifications.

• Assist with other design-related tasks and special projects as needed.

Required:

• YEars of experience required (per level):
  • Junior 0 to 5 yrs
  • Intermediate 5 to 10 yrs
  • Senior >10yrs

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, an additional 4 years of related acquisition experience per level may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (preferrably with this client).

• Experience as a UX/UI designer or graphic designer, preferably in a technical or defense-related environment.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.

• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and ability to work closely with developers.

Desired:

• Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.

• Experience in designing for government or defense-related projects.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
