Position Title: Press Operator
Wage: $20-$21.50/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3:30pm We are searching for candidates with previous Metal Press Machine experience for a warehouse in North Kansas City, MO! This company promotes a safe work environment and offers room for growth once hired on! Please include an updated work history or resume for application. Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and understand work instructions, handle material to and from workstation and get workstation and equipment ready for production, and ensure the quality of the product before shipping - Perform die changeovers and select correct materials to run - Correct or seek support to fix any setup or tool problems preventing production of good parts - Operate press to punch and form parts per specifications - Adjust and tighten hold down bolts, dies, springs, and pins; lubricate material and parts as required - Perform housekeeping activities daily as outlined by supervisor - Complete all required and assigned paperwork Press Operator Requirements: - Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift - Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, ascend/descend stairs, and climb throughout a normal shift - Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with up to 20 pounds as the most frequent lift - Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus - Must have great attendance, make sure to return from breaks on time - Must have good attention to detail and hand-to-eye coordination to distinguish defective items - Previous experience in manufacturing and operating a press preferred - Ability to read measuring devices and interpret blueprints and drawings - All QPS employees - no cell phones allowed on warehouse floor (leave in locker or car) QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
