Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 4:00PM-12:00AM

Location: Sussex, WI

GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the execution of key Quality Assurance Functions of: Internal Audits / Audit Preparation and Execution, Complaint Entry, Non-Conforming Materials Transactions Entry, Document Control, Calibration Records, and assist with ensuring that the Corrective Action Process is implemented and maintained as it corresponds to the processes above. The Quality Assurance Technician works under the direction and guidance of the Quality Manager to drive continual improvement to the processes and quality performance of Pregis by completing the essential duties of the role and executing projects / tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Performs evaluations and audits on key process areas to ensure conformance to critical-to-quality functions and the ISO 9001 Standard.
  2. Evaluates data and process information and places it into documents / system / spreadsheets.
  3. Tests non-conforming material to determine failure points. Processes RGAs by inspecting materials from Customer Returns. Spot checks testing on floor to ensure adherence to inspection criteria.
  4. Investigates, documents, communicates and assists with the resolution of customer complaints and / or / non-conforming Materials occurrences (system movements, notifications, quality alerts, etc.).
  5. Maintains accurate records in the quality database.
  6. Maintains gage calibrations and associated records.
  7. Serve as a mentor and coach to provide guidance on Pregis Quality Processes and resolve quality issues on the Production floor. Schedule requirements may require split shifts, alternating shifts, presence on weekend shifts and presence at other Polybag Manufacturing Facilities.
  8. Writes and revises documentation.
  9. Performs other job-related duties and project work as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Experience or schooling in a related field.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

No anticipated travel but may be given the opportunity to travel to other Pregis Polybag Manufacturing Facilities, Customer Locations, or external provider sites when workflow requires it.
