The Sr. Manager, Training Systems and Applications will leverage their capabilities to deploy learning and development strategies to enhance the capabilities of internal associates and HCPs. This individual will employ instructional design principles to help create learning modules and training curriculum in partnership with Clinical Application Training Directors, Global and Regional Marketers, and Professional Education. This individual will also be responsible for the deployment of learning modules on Alcon's learning management system and be the primary point of contact for the Alcon Experience Academy. Lastly, this individual will lead all activities related to Alcon's Virtual Reality Ophthalmic Surgical Simulator, Fidelis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owner and lead for Fidelis Surgical Simulator and affiliated projects, including train-the-trainer within Alcon, customer training and interaction where applicable, order processing, software needs development, and meeting financial and business requirements.
  • Assist Clinical Application Training Directors, Global and Regional Marketers, and Professional Education with the development and setup of curriculums, eLearning, resources, online testing, transcripts, and all other functions within our learning management system and the Alcon Experience Academy. This also includes development of training materials, training key stakeholders on the functionality of the LMS system.
  • Responsible for the management of the Alcon Experience Academy and Alcon Learning Academy for Clinical Application Specialists.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of LMS system and training dashboards to improve the user experience.
  • Manage user lists/groups, aid in troubleshooting for new streams of learning deployment such as virtual reality.
  • Project management responsibilities for critical Global Training strategies & initiatives such as ensuring that all content is compliant with the Alcon Vision, LLC Compliance and Legal policies.
  • Delivery of learning content, curriculum, and project deliverables in a timely manner and aligned with mandatory instructor led courses.
  • Responsible for the discovery and management of all Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) systems which enable the creation and tracking of CAS and Customer training
  • Responsible for the growth and management of the CAS training database, Asset Management Portal (AMP), Rosetta Stone, and related SharePoint sites.
  • Accountable for all CAS and Customer facing approval processes, including Windchill and associated signature matrixes
  • Responsible for leading the collaboration efforts with Global CAS Operations on the system mapping between Rosetta Stone, Veeva Training, and AMP

What you will bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Proven Experience
