HOUSING & HEALTH INSPECTOR The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Housing & Health Inspector (Sanitary Inspector) for the Department of Inspectional Services. Under the direction of a Chief Sanitary Inspector, this position performs sanitary inspections to ascertain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, investigates nuisances, substandard housing conditions, sources of filth, and causes of sickness to abate violations and correct unsanitary conditions. The Housing & Health Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections of residential properties within the City of Worcester, either in response to complaints or as part of proactive investigations. Additionally, the role includes performing inspections in accordance with the City of Worcester's Rental Registration Ordinance. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
