The City of Ames is seeking a Transportation Planner to develop federal and state planning documents that meet Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's ( AAMPO ) requirements and guidelines. Works with the AAMPO management team and staff to develop coordinated transportation plans for the Ames area.

Salary range: $48,518 - $70,932 plus comprehensive benefits. Bachelor's degree in civil/transportation engineering, community development planning, economics, environmental engineering, mathematics, regional planning, transportation planning or urban planning and two years of experience in a transportation related field or equivalent required.
