Associate Director, Finance
Our client, a leading international financial services organization, is seeking an Associate Director, Finance to join their team. The department has end-to-end responsibility for the financial affairs of the Funds and its managed investment vehicles, including transaction processing, management reporting, statutory and taxation reporting, forecasting, involvement in acquisitions, foreign exchange hedging, preparation of finance related board papers including recommendations concerning distribution policy, cash management and a variety of other operational finance responsibilities.
The Associate Director, Finance will manage a team with financial reporting responsibilities for the Group including ensuring integrity and completeness of financial records, maintaining accounting records for corporate entities including preparation and review of financial statements and preparing entity consolidated financial statements.
The Associate Director will manage the relationship with the finance teams, prepare annual and quarterly financial reports, and finance documents to be lodged with the Toronto Stock Exchange and liaison with external auditors. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and executing the conversion from Canadian GAAP to IFRS for the Funds as well as manage the Bill 198 program including documentation and testing of internal controls.
It is expected that the incumbent will work closely with the CEO and CFO of the Funds they are supporting to provide close finance support to the management team of the Funds. Additional Information

Experience: The successful candidate is a qualified Chartered Accountant with ten or more years of experience in financial services, ideally having previously been responsible for the accounting and reporting of large and complex international transactions.
Previous experience in Big 4 assurance is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a high commitment and flexibility with good attention to detail. They will be able to manage and develop the team to perform at high standards as well as set high standards for themselves.
The ability to prioritize tasks and maintain calm under pressure is essential. Previous experience in an international organization is beneficial.
