NEW YORK Job Title: Advanced Services Iron Port Consultant Region: AMERICAS Area of Interest: Cisco Services (Formerly Customer Advocacy) Level of Experience: Experienced - Non Manager Flexible Work Option: Yes Job Description: Position Summary The Advanced Services organization within Cisco seeks a consulting engineer to join the Content Security Services team.Responsibilities The AS Consulting Engineer will work with our clients to design, install, configure, and document solutions based on the Content Security product set (Cloud Web Security/Scan Safe and Web Security Appliance).The AS Consulting Engineer will frequently work independently at a client. On larger engagements, the consultant may work with 2-3 team members. Engagements typically last between two and ten weeks; occasionally a project may last up to 6 months. Some work is performed onsite, requiring occasional travel to the client's location.

Work Location: New York, NY or Research Triangle, NC (preferred) Overnight Travel: ~3-4 nights / month Expected Experience: 3-12+ years Required Technical Skills / Attributes The candidate is expected to have experience (3+ years) with most of the following: - Thorough knowledge of Cisco Cloud Web Security (Scan Safe) and Web Security Appliance- Prior experience deploying and/or supporting a Scan Safe/WSA solution- Ability to detail the HTTP and FTP protocols- Prior experience configuring an ASA and WCCP- Solid understanding of DNS and LDAP Additional, useful skills include: - Prior experience deploying and/or supporting an ESA-based solution- Strong routing and switching knowledge and troubleshooting skills.- Knowledge of Cisco routing, switching, and load balancing equipment.- Some application programming experience (Java/C#)- Scripting (Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)- Familiarity with Unix tools (grep)- Report development for WSA w/Splunk Other Desired Skills / Attributes- Ability to work independently / Highly organized- Ability to learn quickly- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously- Good verbal communication skills / Good (technical) writing skills- Ability to document system designs- Knowledge of common network debugging tools- Flexibility and poise - this is client facing work for a professional services organization
